Image submission guidelines
Bitmap images (digital photography)

1. When working with digital equipment, use your camera's highest quality to save your images and if available use Tiff instead of JPEG or Raw instead of Tiff and JPEG.

2. Process your images using the software provided by the camera manufacturer or using Photoshop™.

3. Do a personal review of your file. Open it in Photoshop™ or similar software and view your image at 100%. Check for common problems like noise, black spots, deficient focusing, white spots, logos or trademarks, etc. If you find any of this or other problems, try to fix them and if the problem can't be solved, the decision should be not to upload.

4. Save your image in JPEG RGB format (8 bit depth) with the best possible quality (100% or 12). The minimum size accepted is 1600 x 1200 pixels. Please ensure that your images are the right way up when viewed on a monitor screen. Images that are not aligned properly will not be accepted.

5. Don't enlarge/interpolate your images above their original camera size. This causes pixel distortion.

6. Login into Gimmestock.com and under the actions in the toolbox click "Upload file". Follow steps 1 to 3 of the upload process.

7. Insert as many keywords as you can that are related to the image submitted. They will help people to find your work and download it.

8. If any human faces are visible or recognizable, include a model release. The forms and instructions are available in the step 3 of the upload process.

9. Only submit images that you really think that are good to be a part of Gimmestock and remember that you must own the full copyright of the work you submit.
